Ollanta Humala sworn in as President of Peru

The former army officer Ollanta Humala has been sworn in as the President of Peru. He was accompanied by leaders of the region, as well as Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili.

Chavez Returned To Cuba For Medical Treatment

President Hugo Chavez's fight against cancer took another surprising turn, with Venezuela's leftist leader announced their intention to return to Cuba on Saturday to begin chemotherapy.

Chavez has had to close the door of his health problems last month, but made headlines with unexpected announcements, and unexpected appearances.

The latest came Friday after Chavez met President-elect of Peru, Ollanta Humala said he wanted permission to legislators to return to Havana.

"This second phase will begin in the next few days the application of chemotherapy, scientifically designed, in detail," said Chavez, the steps of the Presidential Palace. "I'm sure, I repeat, that the second phase to favor the path back to health."
