Gaddafi Warns Retaliation To Europe

Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi has threatened to carry out attacks in Europe if NATO continues airstrikes on Libya.

It came after France confirmed it had supplied arms to anti-government rebels. PKG "We can not be treated similarly." This is what Gaddafi said by telephone to thousands of supporters gathered in the main Green Square of the capital Tripoli, a call for retaliatory bombings by NATO since March. He warned NATO should end its war in the air or defeat.

The rebel leader also denounced an arrest warrant issued against him by the International Criminal Court. Gaddafi accused Dutch court, one of his son and chief of intelligence with the murder of civilians in suppressing the revolt.

Meanwhile, African Union leaders on Friday offered to host talks between the Libyan government and the rebels on a ceasefire and the transition to a democracy.

Gaddafi had time to play chess

Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi, has reappeared on state television on Monday, while a challenge to a game of chess with the president of the International Sports Federation, Iliumjinov Kirsan from Russia.

The colonel reminded not to leave the country, as required by world powers.

Latest Information On Libya Crisis - Gaddafi Meet With Tribal Leaders

Libyan state television has broadcast pictures of what it claimed was a meeting with Gadhafi and tribal leaders on Tuesday in an undisclosed location.

At the meeting, participants also heard an audio speech by Libyan leader. Audio files on speech was broadcast live on state television from Gaddafi's Bab al-Aziziya compound.

Germany And The U.S. Agreed - Gaddafi must step down

German Chancellor Angela Merkel and U.S. President Barack Obama are united in their demand that Gaddafi must step down. The two leaders made the statement during the visit of Merkel to the White House.
